Korea's Imaginative Entertainment Industry

The Hallyu Wave has been instrumental in spreading Korean Culture, not just limited to K-Pop and K-Drama, but also animation, technology, the Korean language and cuisine.
A recent agreement forged between the creative industries of the UK and South Korea (The Republic of Korea / UK Creative Industries Forum) ensures that the many benefits of working in and investing in Korean entertainment industry will enable both countries’ industries to lead the way. Virtual reality, e-gaming and e-sports are all next generation technologies and the two countries are keen to work together to develop these areas.
With key scenes in the latest Avengers’ sequel, Avengers: Age of Ultron, filmed in Seoul, even the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO)  is cashing in on the destination’s lead in animation and the distinctive lifestyle in the capital and beyond. KTO has launched a special tourism advertisement for theatre use, “Korea: Age of Imagination” which offers a look into the unique lives and culture in Korea such as 24/7 food delivery service, nightlife in Seoul, traditional food and art, and haenyeo (women divers) of Jejudo Island. The New York office of KTO is even offering private screenings of the film
Korea’s knowledge hubs extend beyond creative entertainment to science and technology, medical, shipping, alternative fuels and more.  If Korea features in the development of your industry, Korea MICE the national convention bureau can offer those planning meetings assistance with introductions to key local partners, advice on meeting venues, meeting organisers and programmes, and for qualifying events, additional support.
